C130 - 60 ans du 15th Wing - Melsbroek

Pour fêter ses 60 ans, le 15th Wing de transport de la Belgian Air Force basé à Melsbroek a décoré spécialement la dérive du C130 codé CH-07 d'une magnifique tête d'indien. Cet emblème Sioux, ainsi que la devise, a été repris aux 9ème et 11ème Escadrilles belges de Reconnaissance d'avant guerre (1935-1939). C'était le 1 février 1948 que l'emblème « Sioux » fut attribué aux 2 nouvelles Escadrilles (20 et 21 sqn), avec la devise "Tenacity". To celebrate its 60 years, the 15th Wing of transport of Belgian Air Force based in Melsbroek decorated in particular the tail with C130 coded CH-07 of a splendid head of Indian. This Sioux emblem, as well as the currency, was taken again with 9th and 11th Belgian Squadron of Prewar Recognition (1935-1939). It was on February 1, 1948 that the emblem “Sioux” was allotted to the 2 news sqadrons (20 and 21 sqn), with the currency “Tenacity”. You will find hereafter the photographs illustrating this decoration while waiting for a board of decal for our models.
